"This restaurant really had a great ambience of classic style kopi tiam. Some of the tables was an old classic door. Quite limited seating. Pretty crowded early morning usually opened at 8.30am. They nasi lemak is good. Love their fluffy steamed bread sankaya. Will try Mee Kairi next time."

"Nasi lemak with ayam is delicious, the chicken is freshly fried and the temperature is still hot. Small boy love the steam bread with kaya. Mostly are Malay customers, only our table is Chinese."

"Variety of foods for breakfast! The food is nice. It's an old building and quite attractive. They serve local dish and some cakes and cookies. A must try if you visit Taiping. Popular for breakfast!"

"The food was good. But the service is very slow, considering that i have to wait for almost an hour for drinks which is only teh o ais lemon and a bottle drink. Not only that, they send the wrong drinks to us twice. Place is great for taking picture. But need to improve the service. Update: When I went back a few months ago and the services were better and faster now. The food is also delicious and at reasonable prices."

"A nice place for having breakfast. Easy to park, food has decent taste and portions and service was polite and quite fast. Really like the traditional ambience and they were a very talented guitar man during our visit who added a relaxing and nice vibe to the restaurant."

"This is a quaint eatery that went for the vintage and rustic appearance with indoor and alfresco dining seatings available. The place is quite spacious although I think they could put a few more tables to accommodate the breakfast crowd. We ordered the nasi lemak ayam hitam, lontong and indomie goreng with telur mata. The nasi lemak was quite good. Although it would be better if they include cucumber in the dish (Edit: they were probably out of cucumber when we came, as I saw photos of their nasi lemak with cucumber). They put papadom instead, which was okay but i would've preferred cucumber for the classic nasi lemak taste. Sambal wasn't too sweet which was decent by my standard. Because I don't really fancy sweet sambal. Ayam hitam was also delicious. They could also use a bigger plate for the nasi lemak as everything feels cramped on the small plate. Lontong was rich and creamy. Although seasoning or savouriness could be improved. But it was still delicious. Indomie goreng was also good. They added sambal with the indomie but I feel that the sambal didn't really jibe with the indomie. That said you don't have to mix the sambal with the noodles as it was placed separately in the bowl. Also had iced coffee. Good local coffee with moderate amount of sweetness which is good for a diabetic like myself. Payment method is by cash only. This should be improved as the food wasn't that cheap and people don't carry a lot of cash with them. By now, at least QR transfer and e-wallet payments should be available at the restaurant. Even roadside lemang and durian stalls have QR and e-wallet payments nowadays. The service was also at moderate pace as we got the food without having to wait too long. They sent the food within 15 minutes after handing the order chit to the cashier. Overall, this is a good breakfast spot to visit in kamunting/Taiping."

"Overall pretty decent food and place. French toast + honey is highly recommended if you prefer something sweet, texture wise is soft and crispy on the edges."

"We loved this beautiful place and highly recommend coming here to enjoy a lovely breakfast. The food is really good and the tea tarik is delicious. The atmosphere is great. It’s peaceful and relaxing with great decor. If you’re lucky you’ll hear a great classical guitarist who often plays here. The staff are lovely (especially Noon) and provide great service."
